Stitch-bond non-woven fabric manufactured through the Maliwatt machine of Karl Mayer is that with stitches in the longitude direction to hold the web in place. Since
other types of non-woven are usually needle-punched, thermal-bond or chemical-bond,
even though it holds the web in place, it sacrifices the softness characteristic.
Stitch-bond non-woven maintains the same softness as the web from the
beginning.

Applications: shoes, handbag, packing fabric, mattress ticking for spring mattress,
sun cloth, medical bandage cloth and linings.
